About Caryl Mix
“If success is costing you your peace, your time, or your sense of self—it’s not the right kind of success.”
In the late ’90s, I was running an in-home business while raising three kids under ten, flipping rental property on the side, and learning business the hard way: trial, error, and a whole lot of late nights.
Since then, I’ve built multiple businesses from the ground up…including a laundromat I rebuilt after a $13 million renovation, and an online brand that now helps high-achieving women create clarity, systems, and momentum in their own businesses.
And yet…for years, even as things looked successful from the outside, I was stuck in a pattern that most ambitious women know all too well.
When business was booming, my life would fall apart. When I poured into my family or my health, the business would stall. I was constantly switching roles…boss, mom, firefighter, dreamer, fixer…and wondering when it would all feel lighter. It never did.
Because I was building everything on reactivity, not intention. I was building without real systems, structure, or clarity…and it was quietly burning me out. My health was suffering, my marriage was burning down and I felt like i couldn't keep up on the home front. The faster I built things, the further away from all that mattered most to me felt.
I realized: If I was going to stay in business, I had to do it differently. So I went to work on my own life first.
I started designing a framework to help me build success that actually felt like mine…where my goals weren’t just revenue-based, but included rest, clarity, health, family, and joy. Joy for me…my own interests and heart. That work became the foundation for the Success with Six Journal and later, my full framework that now fuels everything I teach inside Next Level You and Make It Happen HQ.
That’s when things changed.
The chaos calmed. The swirl stopped. My business grew, my life finally felt mine again....and I started helping other women do the same.
Today, I help other ambitious women stop spinning and start building...intentionally. Not with hacks or hustle. But with strategy, systems, structure, and mindset work that actually fits the season they’re in.
Women who work with me are often:
Holding up a successful business and an entire life
Great at making things happen, but craving a better way
Smart enough to know they don’t want to scale stress
Ready to do the work, but need a plan that feels like them
